1010 WINS

I am a 1010 wins gal because that’s what I grew up on. However, I do miss CBS880 because I have always been annoyed at how 1010 repeats, repeats and repeats. You mean there’s no other news to report on during an 8 hour period? I mentioned 8 hours because that is my work shirt time and in that time, I have heard the same story at least 10-15 times. I know there are other things to talk about and I can’t understand why they continue to do this. When I’ve had enough, I could put it to 880. Now there’s no other news station to run to.

Im in bloomington il and wins is much better than whats out here. Id move back to nyc. Btw. When i listen to wins online they play commercials from bloomington. Thought i was tripping.

One mo' time - Bit of praise perhaps. Seems some presenters have sloooowed their speech, positive indeed. But, still on the fast side though. I listen to the public radios also, and the speakers speak at more normal speed indeed. Messrs. Rindy and Jensen have slowed down their speech indeed, but..... still. I'm making this comment because in my college speech class, I learned of how fast speech speed can be adequately processed by the listener...... Good progress in the right direction. Say, IF the weather and traffice reports are done at 15-20 minute intervals, WINS will have more time to slow down all presentations. I wouldn't mind to listen more leisurely.

As a faithful WCBS880 listener, I was so excited to hear a familiar voice this morning on 1010WINS- Paul Murnane. Hooray! Now we need Wayne Cavat.

880 and 1010 is great for unbiased news, for local and nationwide coverage. It’s hard to find good coverage of local news and traffic conditions and 1010 wins offers something that no one else is: real-time information in a clear and concise manner. My parents would always play both station to see if there was better traffic information when we would drive into Queens and I use 1010 wins as an adult even driving around Long Island just to find out what is going on even if it doesn’t directly affect any roads I traverse on. Please keep up the good work, you are unique in what you do. And I think people are just heartbroken on losing their beloved radio channel to sports. Thanks for everything you do!
