Long time listener @ wcbs..! Now 1010Wins

Update to my earlier comment regarding the quality of presentation, on a particular aspect - speed of their talking. Several we commented they were tooooooo speedy, specifically Messrs. Rindy and Jensen (estimated spelling). so fast that it's hard at times to absorb and digest the weather and traffic reports. Lately, we noted that their speech has sloooowed down. It's sloooower and more is absorbed from this end. However, from my college days' speech class learning, I believe (asking more now!) another 10-20% slower will be perfect for us. Right now, the words are more digestible. Better listening even is coming we wish. Oh, other reporters in general are good also. We listen to NPR radio also, and somehow we think their presentation speed is much more at ease...... Well, thank you to 'em all anyway.

1010 wins is okay they been around for a long time. Nothing takes the place of WCBS 88, I miss WCBS 88 NEWS They were the absolute best!

Just want to commend on WINS 1010 AM's improvement overe one area we commented on. You really "listened" to the listeners we believe. Bravo. Specifically, we "complained" (well, commented, really) on the OVERLY-speedy speeches of several presenters, specifically Mssrs. Jensen and Rindy (guessing at the spellings) for the Traffic and Weather reporting. We now hear them (no more CBS 880 AM...) at slowED speed, which is more desirable, tho here and there another 5 10% slower would be even better, as here and there it's muddied up. Well.... Thanks.

I am a 1010 wins gal because that’s what I grew up on. However, I do miss CBS880 because I have always been annoyed at how 1010 repeats, repeats and repeats. You mean there’s no other news to report on during an 8 hour period? I mentioned 8 hours because that is my work shirt time and in that time, I have heard the same story at least 10-15 times. I know there are other things to talk about and I can’t understand why they continue to do this. When I’ve had enough, I could put it to 880. Now there’s no other news station to run to.

Im in bloomington il and wins is much better than whats out here. Id move back to nyc. Btw. When i listen to wins online they play commercials from bloomington. Thought i was tripping.
