Great talk radio that isn't right wing nonsense or NPR lunacy. I'm glad their getting rid of those oldies stations and broadcasting something worth listening to.

This is a comment I left on the Google Play store, when 86 Kono flipped and lost what made it special.

"Before August 28th 2024, 86 KONO was a unique oldies station that played amazing assortment of classics from the 60s and 70s. Their jingles were iconic, their seasonal inclusions for songs and jingles were inclusive to the listener and the time of the year. Unfortunately, as of the date mentioned above, it has now become a 24/7 news talkstation, with no distinguishable or unique identity to itself. It has now become just another station youll scroll past on the dial."

Moving to Alabama 20 years later, I was able to listen to KONO again thanks to Alexa, then some idiots changed the Format. How Sad!

Done with KONO. I'll have to see if KPPC is still around for my oldies. I wonder who "suggested" to Cox Media that one of their stations had to be sacrificed for business news? Someone with an agenda or someone who really thinks San Antonio is so full of rich people that we need more than one business radio station? Taking off my foil hat now lol

I love listening to the oldies in the car, doing yard work or projects around the house, in the office etc. I hope KONO brings back the oldies again. It brought back so many wonderful memories to listen to.

So sorry to find out you have shut down the greatest oldies station in Texas. I hope another AM station picks up where you left off. Sorry, I won't be listening to KONO anymore. I think your owners made a very big mistake. Your just another radio station now.
