Just came home from a vacation. Wanted to hear local news. Just sports. Dis CBS news to another station or just close up shop?

I need to hear my WCBS News radio 88! This was my 'go to' station for anything and everything. Got me through September 11th, Covid and, all the times in between. I have, had, my alarm clock radio set to News radio 88 to help me get up to go to work, get to work... The announcers were , ARE phenomenal. A part of history and our lives has been taken away. Hope to hear thier familiar and much appreciated voices in journalism back on the station soon,

Oh so sad. I have been listening for 40 years. My vintage Sharp alarm clock has a little black mark on the 88 so I know where to tune. And they couldn't even transfer some to 1010 wins? Not sure if i will be listening anymore. This is quite depressing for this old lady. Thanks for all the banter and news over the years. You were the best.

Ahhh, grew up listening to WCBS News Radio 88. Especially the weather since i am a meteorologist :) Unlike 1010 WINS, WCBS has personality giving the news.
And Craig Allen and previous meteorologists, weather forecasters were (are) all darn good. The station will be missed. Reminds me of a kid on into my "more mature" years :) GOOD LUCK TO ALL THAT WERE ON CBS NEWS RADIO 88. ....ONE MORE TIME, ....WCBS NEWS TIME, 1PM...B I N G !!!!!!!
