If you'll pardon me I have a suggestion for a couple of the commenter's looking for jazz and or Brazilian. Check out community radio WWOZ streaming 24/7 out of New Orleans. They also maintain a two week back catalog archive in case you've missed you favorite program.
For the Latin & Brazilian:

Saturdays 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Tudo Bem (Brazilian) with Dean Ellis
Saturday 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The station is hometown-centric not unlike 90.9 FM WDCB is to Chicago but like them they play a wide range of music, commercial free. However, please keep in mind that it's Mardi Gras time so there will be more of that, though the station does stick to its scheduling. All the same, thanks to WDCB for being here. 1st time listening...for jazz....heard NO jazz, just country...DISAPPOINTNIG. DO NOT ADVERTISE AS A JAZZ STATION IF YOU DON'T BROADCAST IT, PLEASE !

I was listening to the Brazilian Music show around 2.39 - 3.30 pm today... and I have to admit- it was pretty bland !! As a Huge Brazilian music fan, it struck me that the programming was painfully close to Smooth Jazz, which is Not what I ( or most of your listeners, I would guess) hope to hear when I tune in WDCB. How about some Jobim? Stan Getz? Milton Nascimento w/ Wayne Shorter? ( Native Dancer) or perhaps Airto w/ Flora Purim? There is So much reall good Brazilian music out there... Surely your programming Dept can do better than what was played today.
I know this sounds critical ( and I guess it is) but I AM very appreciative of what WDCB does on a daily basis, esp since you are one of the very few stations that offer Jazz programming.. So Thank you VERY much for that !!

There was a Colonial Club orchestra on the North Shore. My mom occasionally sang with them around 1937.
