I liked the interview with the school superintendant I heard today( Tuesday) except for one phrase. I listen to k bear in my car and always like the banter. It always feels safely nonpolitical. The phrase that startled me though was when the interviewer said something about how ICE was only taking the “ baddest of the bad”. Others I asked about this were startled too. So I thought I should write. ICE itself on tv interviews has said it picks up some criminals but if the others aren’t, it deports them also. And undocumented doesn’t mean “ bad”. They do our roofs and pick our crops. Some have that status for lots of reasons . So ICE is not just deporting “ the baddest of the bad”. That phrase just really stuck out.
I don’t mean you have to correct it. I just hated hearing people who are here in Billings for lots of different reasons referred to as bad. I know you were quoting someone else but I wanted to write to you directly.
