The two announcers, from Jet Blue stadium today, who are broadcasting the Red Sox spring training season are unparalleled in color commentary and action. They have a natural on air vibe, which sounds authentic and mutually complimentary. They know the local Ft. Myers area and the surrounding area as well as the stadiums. I am a Bostonian who moved to Sarasota and back. It brings back very strong memories of the uniqueness of the area-I feel as if I am still there.
Furthermore, they mail the experience of being at ball games where there is an intimacy between the crowd and the field that, bigger ballparks including Fenway Park lack because of the high walls and thousands and thousands more fans.
Finally they know the Red Sox team
and understand the differences between spring training games and big league baseball-and they articulate it well-their earnest love of the game shines through.
Lastly they have genuine chemistry. No small talk at all. What a gift to Red Sox fans listening.
