92.9 is the new GoTo Columbus oldies FM station. So many well selected tunes some of which I have not heard since their original release. The only criticism is sound quality. There is marked congestion and distortion in louder passages. Possible causes include: 1) over modulation (beyond 100%) of the transmitter chain, 2) over use of a compressor (Optimod) to again sound louder than other stations ((or match them since so many do this)), 3) the digital files you use for the oldie selections are of poor quality themselves, or, finally, something is amiss in DAC and associated equipment. All of the oldies were analog release on LPs or 45's. More than a few of them had outstanding sound quality as the fully analog recording systems used then were simple (not to mention recorded on vacuum tube equipment). I still have a lot of these gems. May I suggest that you examine your transmitted sound and bring it up to the quality that many of these oldies possess. I love your station.

I have waited a long time for a great oldies station! Not only do they play from the 60's and 70's they play songs from the 50's!! And it brings back memories of good times. So I'm going to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 93X ride!!!

It is refreshing to have a decent radio station format compared to the other stagnant formats in Columbus. Enjoy the Oldies. Keep it up!

It's about time CBUS got a oldies/Alternative station. The music they play brings back a lot of memories. They even play songs from the late 50's!!!! Will listen to 93X all the time!!!!

From the feed you have now, your nothing but a clone of the old Oldies station B97. but a step up in catalogue. Just streaming oldies dosen't impress anybody. You need announcers in there in the know who can connect with listeners. Get rid of the consultants and fly it by the seat of your pants. You will do better in he long run.
