For those of you wondering why you are unable to receive 830 am. The FAA required the radio tower, which is on Keokea St. near HCC, to be reduced in height because it is in the flight path of HNL. They are in process of dismantling it and that is why the signal is weak. It should improve when they are complete with their work. This tower also broadcasts 590 KSSK. Michael Perry has been discussing the issue the past couple months.

I've been listening to KHVH 830 am for about 17 years. Now I can't receive the station on my pocket radio or car radio. I live in Hawaii kai. I get no signal at all.
What happened?

Okay. I found the way to listen to KHVH 830 online. Nice to be able to hear it on khvhradio.iheart.com on my phone. But it's really inconvenient to not be able to get it on my car radio. Are you phasing out antennae reception? Booo! I'll tell my friend about the new way, but she'll be more put out because she'll be forced to learn how to use her smart phone more. Has the general public been notified of changes? Not everyone has the ability to cope.

I used to enjoy listening to Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rick Hamada, Joe Pags and others while driving. Why is there so much static ruining am830 now...in both the the car radio and the radio inside my house? I recently found KHVH on Spectrum cable ch. 881, but I can't listen away from the tv at home in Waianae. I transport family in my car to and from work and school daily. I used to listen all day while working at home. Now there are just maybe a couple of good shows on other stations. My friend who lives in Pearl City also gets nothing but static. I wish we could get the station online. Then we could listen to our cell phones.
